Hello there! Welcome to our blog The Sophisticated Rancher. Since this is the first post we wanted to mention what we plan to include in our posts. We will discuss all things that involve a country lifestyle from our personal experiences and preferences. Including our recommendations for décor that we feel fit a classy country style; ranching products and business; hunting products and related topics; or the equestrian scene. Every month we'll post either about décor, ranching , hunting, or equestrian topics. The term country has so many different avenues. Hopefully, we bring something useful to a little bit of everyone who lives a country lifestyle.
Let’s start our first topic with how we describe the country style.
How do you describe your country style? There are many ways to describe your country style; for instance rustic, distressed, or maybe classy. We enjoy the classy and more elegant side of the country style. For furniture it is rich dark wood, beautiful leather, hide accents and clean lines. Things that could stand the test of time because they remain beautiful and functional for years to come. This particular version of country style, we have discovered, is hard to find. We have spent hours online and have visited several western stores searching for furniture and décor that fit our style. It was tiring and discouraging looking everywhere for things that seem to be the “unicorn” of country style furniture. There is nothing more frustrating than to google images of classy country style and see examples of these beautiful rooms, but no one tells you where to buy the items in the pictured room! After all the searching we decided why not help others who enjoy this classy country style too. Now you can come here to see things we believe fit a classy country style so you don’t have to go searching for hours. Because let’s face it, who has that kind of time!! It is our greatest wish to help others not to have to go through the same arduous task that we have.
